MARKET CAP LEAGUE

ABOUT THE LEAGUE

The numbers
behind the standings.

A daily perspective on eligible US-listed public companies, presented like a league table.

How rankings work

Companies sort by market capitalization in USD, descending. Equal values sort by stable company identifier. This is not a stock recommendation, an investable index or a complete record of all global securities.

Snapshots and movement

A snapshot date is the completed US trading session. Captures before 16:15 New York time use a prior session; weekends and holidays use the latest completed session with sufficient coverage. Rank movement compares a company with its rank in the selected earlier capture. New means absent from that earlier top 100; it does not mean newly listed. Gaps can occur on weekends, holidays or source failures. We never manufacture historical snapshots.

Derived market caps and change

Capitalization is an eligible IEX daily close multiplied by SEC-reported shares, adding sourced class estimates and applying documented ADR ratios where available. Repeated historical facts are not added together. Change is the percentage difference from the prior retained issuer market cap, so it may span several sessions. Share counts can be stale between filings, and corporate actions are not independently reconciled. IEX is not the consolidated official close. No raw prices are published. Missing data displays a dash or Unclassified.

Source and provenance

Source: SEC EDGAR plus Alpaca IEX daily bars, used only to derive market caps. Session/capture dates, the source decision and coverage exclusions are retained in the snapshot. Official company logos are not bundled; ticker monograms are the fallback until locally licensed assets are supplied.

Independent project

Market Cap League is not affiliated with any exchange, index provider or ranked company. No accounts, purchases, trading or paid subscriptions are offered.
